Major 2nd (TV) - Second Season will be postponed due to COVID-19

The remaining episodes of the anime series Major 2nd (TV) - Second Season will be postponed due to COVID-19. On April 25th, NHK Anime World announced on their twitter page that this anime is going to stop airing for a while just after airing its 4th episode.  By next week, they will be rebroadcasting this anime Major 2nd - season 2 TV starting with episodes one to four. They will announce later on as soon as when episode 5 and onwards will air.






MAJOR 2nd is a Japanese sports anime and manga series written and illustrated by Takuya Mitsuda. This anime is a sequel for the 2004-2010 anime and manga MAJOR. Major 2nd - season 2 anime is directing by Ayumu Watanabe at studio OLM combined with the returning author Michihiro Tsuchiya who is responsible for managing and arranging contents. Tsuchiya is also writing the contents with the other returning authors Kenichi Yamashita and Kenji Konuta, while Akiko Inoue in scriptwriting group. It also has a new character architect Miki Matsumoto, replacing its previous character architect Kenichi Ohnuki. Toshiki Kameyama is also the sound executive with the return of Kotaro Nakagawa as a Music Arranger for this anime.

The reason for postponing the production of this anime is because of the pandemic COVID19 that leads the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe with the Corona Virus Taskforce to declare that Japan is currently at the State of Emergency which will stay effect until May 7 at the earliest. Fans will surely understand this postponed of the anime series because it is for the safety of the producers, animators, scriptwriters, and other staff in anime and manga production. But at the same time, majority of the fans are sad and hoping that Major 2nd (TV) - Second Season is going to release the other episode as soon as possible.
