The Devil is a Part-Timer! Light Novel Final Volume Delayed Due to COVID-19

Kadokawa's Dengeki Bunko light novel announced last Friday that the release of 21st and last volume of The Devil is a Part-Timer! (Hataraku Maou-Sama) is moved on August 7 from its original July 10 release date due to the pandemic COVID-19.

Yen Press publishes both the Hataraku Maou-Sama light novels and a manga adaptation by Akio Hiiragi, and the story started from:

After almost beaten by the human hero Emilia in Ente Isla, the Devil King and his general Alciel beat a quick escape to a parallel universe - land in the middle of lively, modern-day Tokyo! Lacking the magic needed to return to their world Ente Isla, the two are forced to have human identities and live like average human life until they find a better solution to return. In 2011, the light novel with illustrations launched by Wagahara. Manga adaptation is launched in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine in December 2011. Kurone Mishima made another manga sequel spinoff called Hataraku Maou-Sama! High School! in Kadokawa's Dengeki Maoh magazine from 2012-2015. All five volumes of this manga are released by Yen Press also.

ComicWalker website launched a gourmet-genre manga spinoff Hataraku Maou-Sama! no Meshi! in August. Oji Sado is the illustrator of this manga. It adapts the latest spinoff volume in the light novel series, which also has the same title released in February 2019.

The main novel series had an anime adaptation in 2013. Funimation streamed the anime as it aired.
