Camel and deer looking at each other

The past decades accustomed us to numerous panty shots from shows with perverted shonen characters—such scenes led to the rise of camel toes.

For those who didn't know what camel toes are, it's the visual effect created by a tight pair of shorts or any thin piece of cloth worn emphasizing the shape of the external genitalia.

Etymology: Why Call It Camel Toe?

Initially, the camel toes, also spelled cameltoes, only pertained to the terminal portion of a limb of a desert animal.

No one actually compared this anatomical part to the female's genitalia until a sketch featured in Conan O'brien's late-night show went viral. Due to the similarities, the term became popular, especially in animé where shots of exposed panties that outline the female's crotch area are prevalent.

The opposite of the camel toe is the male's bulge, which only appears in yaoi visual novels.

Camel toes appear in real life, and tons of media feature them. There are also products created to conceal the camel toe, like the ones featured in Keeping Up With The Kardashians. It's actually a basic need, especially for women who work in the entertainment industry.

Although the topic is not entirely unsafe for work, the content is an obvious pervert's pet, and to someone who didn't ask for it — just a funny entertainment addition.

Camel Toes In Ecchi

However, these pink and flowery surprises are more prevalent in Ecchi shows. Talk about a staple ingredient that excites the fandom, hoping that they could see more of it.

The Ecchi genre is now one of the most used categories in anime shows where authors and producers pair it with almost any genre they could think of. It’s no surprise that the trend and consumption for these shows increase because this particular genre is people’s all-time favorite.

Below are some anime shows up to date where the ecchi that feeds on your lewd fantasies can either be the main course or the side dish.

#1 - Everyday Life With Monster Girls

A harem of sexy monster anime girls with one showing her buttocks with tail and a lucky guy

It’s modern times, and these technological advancements in Japan promote non-human incorporation into our society. But that didn't stop Kimihito Kurusu from living a life like a regular Joe until it happened. A mishap in the interspecies exchange leaves Kimihito tending to a Miia, a Snake Girl species known as the Lamia.

This Lamia attracted a whole set of gorgeous girls coming into Kimihito’s life, resulting in a messy yet fun day-to-day situation filled with eroticism and passion. And with the experimental marriage in effect onto them, these girls are more than motivated enough to compete and monopolize all of Kimihito’s attention. The only thing stopping the crew from having full-blown sex is a section included in the Interspecies Law that prohibits the act. But that doesn’t mean that the lustful advancements will stop because of that, now wouldn’t it?

With all of the infusion of aliens, monsters, and creatures into the harem genre, by now, you would think that the shows would be generic and ultra-cliché. That is not the case for Everyday Life with Monster Girls.

The selling point of this show lies in the functional harmony between the ladies’ personality and its Slice of Life genre. It’s about how the girls deal with the spontaneous events that keep on popping everywhere in Kimihito’s life that makes the show interesting albeit lacking a firm plot to tell. This personality interaction to events is, after all, what makes the 2011 Nichijou a big hit.

#2 - Food Wars! Shokugeki No Soma

Chefs in their uniform about to fight in a kitchen war with cute anime girls in their school uniform and short skirts

A teenage Souma Yukihira is consistent in helping his Dad run their family’s restaurant. From there, he gained his passion for amusing his customers as he appeals to their senses with the food he makes. Thus, it’s only surprising that his father decided to close the restaurant—his reason: to put his cooking abilities to the test by roaming around the world.

But as his father gave himself a quest to fulfill, he also gave Souma a goal to work on, which is to graduate at Tootsuki Culinary Academy, a school where only a tenth of the starting population graduates; a school of the elite cooks. Coming to terms, he took this as an opportunity to improve on his trade and seize the dream of owning their family diner.

Food is best paired with fan service. Shokugeki no Soma defies conventional means by serving the audience with ecchi materials through its most unexpected topic: Cooking. Don’t let the conservative chef uniform fool you.

These fan services range from subtle camel toes during skirt twirls to mild orgasms as a literal interpretation of how good the food is. On top of that are interesting characters and exciting competition arcs that you don’t want to miss.

#3 - Prison School

Anime lady with big breasts wearing brown uniform and staring down with white text saying Prisoner School and its Kanji translation

Hachimitsu Private Academy was an all-girls school renowned for the boarding school and quality education when the board of directors suddenly decided to allow boys' admission. As the policy change was controversial, the result was the admission of four lads, and one is to two hundred fifty ratios of males is to females.

With the overwhelming number of female boarders, it’s sure to fall into temptation in committing an act of peeping. Eventually, the council caught the boys, and Kiyoshi, one of the male enrollees, will spend a month in prison against his will. It’s at the prison where the boys learn the spirit of brotherhood to survive in a school life void of freedom.

Finding an ecchi anime without turning itself into a harem is rare because of the encompassing cliché chemistry of the genre. Thus, Prison School is one of the hidden gems that everyone buried. This show delivered the promised good graphical services to its audience.

It comprises four rowdy voyeurs, each with different quirks that make their school prison life enjoyable. On top of that are character redemptions by setting aside their indifferences in the name of friendship and brotherhood.

#4 - Date A Live

Different types of anime girls wearing swimsuits.

A spatial quake that continuously devastated the world happened again. Shidou Itsuka attempts to rush and save her sister, Kotori, when he discovers a fully-armored girl in the area of the quake. Aside from seeing a strike force against the cause of tremors, he finds that your little sister is commanding a group who believes in saving these girls known as spirits.

His little sister then enlists the help of Shidou in dealing with the spirits in a somewhat surprising way: Making the girls fall in love with him. Now the fate of Tengu city watches as he allures these females, starting with Tohka Yatogami, the spirit in the armor.

The show is one of the classics among the classic harems, paving the way for countless anime iterations with the resounding dating sim elements intact. Date a Live features a haphazard collection of characters with considerable differences in personalities, but for some reason, it just works.

Its genre might feel generic by today’s standards but is revolutionary for juggling ecchi, sci-fi, and elemental fantasy altogether. And for an ecchi-type of anime, it has approving visuals as shown on fight scenes crucial to the story and erotic scenes where it counts.

#5 - To Love-Ru

Blonde anime girl, pink-haired girl and short haired girl wearing swimsuits while playing at the beach.

He discovered Lala Satalin Deviluke, princess of a galactic empire who ran away from her father’s will to that mayhem. The story follows Rito Yuuki, 16 years of age, who gets his bath interrupted by an outright naked girl. To make matters interesting, Rito accidentally gropes at Lala’s breast as the gesture is a weird custom of asking a girl for marriage.

What happens after are day-to-day phenomena where chaos is sure to ensue. And with the growing roster of beautiful mesdemoiselles in Rito's life—females and extraterrestrials alike—this kept Rito from professing his fondness to Haruna Sairenji, his classmate and long-time infatuation.

To Love-Ru is another enjoyable classic anime from the 2000s. Audiences regard this show as one of the first to blur the boundaries between ecchi and hentai by showcasing its viewers a bold and explicit display of nudity. There may not be any sex scenes throughout the series, but note that there were little to no anime shows that were as bold in pushing the definition’s limits of ecchi.

To Love-Ru is also one of the shows where the personality between characters dramatically varies, but for some reason, it works. One way to look at the chemistry is by crediting the comedic nature of the show—that differs from slapstick, surrealism, and even primarily blue humor—for acting as gluing the chaos together in this slice of life setup.

#6 - High School DxD

Sexy anime girls in highschool uniform go harem with one lucky guy

Issei Hyoudou is not your typical student as he is a lewd student and a member of the infamous Perverted Trio with a dream to become the Harem King or at least have his harem. Apart from that, he is pretty much average. So when a girl asks him to go on a date, he sees this as a crucial stepping stone in achieving the paradise he wants.

The following day, a gorgeous Rias Gremory posited Issei’s revival as Ria’s servant. The date went extremely well until it turns out she is a fallen angel who kills him. She also reveals that the angels, fallen angels, and devils live alongside humans and constantly battle.

The recruited Issei now gears up and trains to fight after coming to terms with his new life as a series of events triggers a massive adventure for his dull life.

Everyone knows about the adorable Gremory Rias. When you think of the harem genre as a whole, chances are you’ll think of her. What makes Rias rise through popularity and mainstream is how High School DxD centers on her. TNK studios successfully gave the lady demon her spotlight, emphasizing her curvatures, character designs and personality, and even attention to detail on her sound methods.

The anime knows how to serve good visuals both in erotic and action scenes as well. Apart from the apparent fan service and nudity, the show isn’t lacking in any way with plots and character arcs too. This is a complete package worth watching even by people who’re new to anime.

#7 - Detective Conan

Shirtless detectives playing at the beach with girls.

The story revolves around Shinichi Kudou, a meticulous high school detective who earned the Great Detective of the East by solving police cases that are almost impossible to crack. On a date with her childhood friend Ran, he accidentally became a witness to an illegal transaction in which they caught him and drugged him with a poison pill.

Fortunately for him, the drug turned him into a seven-year-old child. He decided to live with Ran, whose father is a private detective hoping to catch the black-robed guys who poisoned him and eventually turn him back to normal.

Out of all the lists here, only Detective Conan is the show that is not an ecchi genre as it is a detective anime. But for some reason, its author, Aoyama Gosho, manages to sneak in some fantastic fan service for any voyeur’s eyes to feast on. So while it’s rare to have a beach or shower session in this nine hundred episode show, every display is worth it when a sea trip happens.

But other than the lewd fantasy from curvatures and camel toe shots, Detective Conan is an underrated, long-standing detective anime that is sure to keep you interested per case.

#8 - Redo of Healer

Boy and girl fighting while everything's burning and the girl is acting hurt

Keyaru is a hero blessed with restorative powers to heal all kinds of pain and injuries. When he thought he was off to a great start, reality smashed a hard truth unto him by suffering through all sorts of abuse that seemed to go endless. On one occasion, he explored more about his abilities as a healer after discovering a newfound power that comes along with his class. His effort to master his course was useless when he realized there wasn’t anything left for him. Thus, Keyaru traveled back in time through a powerful spell and wreaked vengeance upon those who had caused him suffering.

The Redo Of Healer anime deserves recognition once again, for trying to push the boundaries of the definition of ecchi and hentai. Not only did this anime become so popular in just a period before its release, but it’s become controversial too, for the inclusion of daring sex and abuse scenes. Of course, the graphics can match the show's radicalism, so may this serves as a warning for such.

Otherwise, the show can be entertaining despite the constant drastic ideologies rooting in the main character. Often there are instances where the plot appears so messed up, but there are some moments where the wicked deed is “justified.”

#9 - Kill La Kill

Kill La Kill main character wearing sexy gladiator armor and a red sword

Ryuuko Matoi had long roamed the vast open lands in search of her dad’s killer when her lead made her stumble upon an academy named Honnouji. Inside, the student council president Satsuki Kiryuuin rules the academy alongside her four powerful minions to grant a student Goku Uniforms.

After Ryuuko experienced a blunt blow of defeat, she retreats and discovers Senketsu, the God Clothes, which in turn granted her immense powers much like Goku Uniforms. Geared up for a fight, together with her trusty Scissor blade, she once again tries to bring down the ruthless council and learn the truth regarding her father’s death.

From the get-go of Ryuuko’s reveal, you bet that this show is more than willing to feed your fantasies with fan service. And with some fights happening mid-air, it’s a guarantee ode to a fan’s bodily appreciation.

Wrapping Up

While there are more programs to add, the above-featured titles are NOT the kind of animes that shower viewers with camel toes needlessly. These tiny pieces of naughtiness come at the right time for quality entertainment.

Regular followers of this otaku blog would know that we've been talking about Hunter x Hunter for almost a decade. Out of those years, we have not led anyone to any appropriate platform where they could binge-watch the series for the nth time.

People who grew up without experiencing enough of the otaku culture see anime as children's stuff. We couldn't blame them, especially those who become accustomed to animated shows with concepts designed solely for toddlers.

anime girl playing golf

In the genre of sports, we got some excellent anime series enjoying mainstream attention. We got Haikyuu, Prince of Tennis, Kuroko no Basket, Hajime No Ippo, and Slamdunk, to name a few.

Interestingly, some anime shows about popular sports didn't get much spotlight as the above. One of these is golf, which appeared to be out of the otaku demographic's league.

If you're keen to know how the power of friendship and typical shonen genius could conquer the golf course of both human and demon realms, these are some anime series about golf you can check out.

Dan Doh!!

The story begins with Dandoh playing a basketball game with his friends, Yuka and Kohei. At this time, Dandoh hit a wild fly ball, which ended up crashing into the principal's pants.

While they expected rage and frustration, the principal ended up with admiration instead. He then introduces Dandoh to the wondrous world of golf, wherein he's under the watchful observance of a former pro-golfer. As a result, they entered the golf tournament together and played to win the national championships.

As Dandoh starts to play in tournaments, his spirit and determination affected the players around him, which gained him many friends along the way. Originally a manga series written by Nobuhiro Sakata and illustrated by Daichi Banjō, it later became an anime series, which aired on April 3, 2004.

Beat Shot!!

Directed in 1989 by Takashi Akimoto, the series tells the story of an up-and-coming golf player named Kyoichi Sasuga, who enters the tournament and shows everyone his talent and skills.

With those abilities, he’s also hoping to impress women along the way. Kyoichi's biggest opposition is Akihiko Hanamatsuri, who ends up being his most formidable rival and competition. However, just like any player that seems too good to be true, Kyoichi Sasuga also has a weakness: He is perverted and can quickly lose his focus when he lays his eyes on any woman.

This sports show falls under the obscure adult-oriented anime, so you might want to watch out for some of those NSFW moments. Beat Shot! was also based on a manga written by Satoshi Ikezawa, and the anime release followed three years after its completion.

King Golf

Written and illustrated by Ken Sasaki, this tells the story of a young delinquent who is very fond of challenges. He’s fought everyone in his region to become supreme, and while this might seem like he’s at the top of his game, he realizes later on that everyone fears him without as much admiring him.

On the same day of this realization, a rival looks down on him. It’s a story of courage, competitiveness, and inspiration on whether he will defeat his opponent and prove that he’s still the supreme, or will he let his doubt get the best of him?

Pro Golfer Saru

This anime is based on a manga written by Fujiko Fujio and tells the story of someone named Pro Golfer Saru, who’s the cross between a monkey and a boy. He should beat the odds to become a pro golfer, but this isn’t as easy as it sounds with his rival and competitor, Mr. X, always getting in his way.

Mr. X makes it a point to create problems for Saru to get in the way of becoming a pro golfer. This show is the perfect mix of both sports and fantasy anime. After a few episodes, you'll find great entertainment in the story while learning so much about golf.

Is It Possible To Learn Golf Through Anime?

While anime shows are not the best platforms to study and eventually be a pro on a chosen sport, they show excellent tips and techniques based on real-life:

Hajime No Ippo featured a fearsome boxing technique called the Dempsey Roll. In Haikyuu, the heart-stopping volleyball matches articulated the role of each member and the importance of a team's strength in receiving and attacking.

These anime shows around golf could teach many things concerning the rules of the game and the factors required to excel in the said sport. However, it would need a first-hand experience of the game to tell whether it is a viable sport for an individual or not.

cowboy bebop anime soundtracks in vinyl

Many avid fans of the otaku culturehave sought at least one or two anime songs that resonated inside their heads. Some would even have the entire soundtrack of their favorite.

Listening via CDs or digital copies, you might think you've heard the song in its best sound quality possible. However, many would argue that vinyl releases sound better, and the nostalgia is much more present whenever you carefully lower down the tonearm to kiss the record. Hence, the timelessness of turntables and vinyl albums.

Yes, turntable sales are still lively in 2023! It has outlived several music equipment pieces, and there are many turntable stores worldwide that thrive in cartridge and stylus replacements alone.

Early millennials (born in the 80s), who witnessed the golden age of anime, might own a couple of vintage albums or more. Back then, they are the first ones who have listened to songs from anime produced by Studio Ghibli, Kyoto Animation, Daicon films, and more.

On the side of early otaku video gamers, there are a few promo releases in the 80s. But one of the first recognized video game vinyl albums is Haruomi Hosono's Video Game Music.

If the Generation Y geeks still have a working and well-maintained turntable, they could be living the nostalgic dream of the otaku fandom.

To those who already knew about this and would like to purchase a turntable, there are affordable record players that might suit you.

We also listed below the best anime soundtracks in vinyl that we found.

Gon and Killua project blurred

The Otaku World is currently in the midst of exhilarating Attack on Titan brawls. But now, we're receiving some official news about an upcoming Hunter x Hunter project. Talk about getting what you wanted when you least expect it.

The Hunter x Hunter fandom heard a slew of fake news about its return. Guess we're all used to that as of now. But here comes a cue of what's about to come — a developing story started by the lead characters' voice actresses themselves.

In separate tweets, Megumi Han and Mariya Ise posted pictures and teased about a new anime project.

See for yourselves:

This one is from Megumi Han, Gon's VA.

Here's a rough translation:

I met my buddy.

She also tweeted. Fufufu.

Yes, it was a recording of that work.

I think we can inform you soon.

My origin.

Mariya Ise (Killua's VA):

I've been recording mufufu today 🤭💓

Happy to meet my buddy on my way home! 😆✨

I'd like to tell you soon, but I can't show you yet ... I'll put a mosaic on it!

(What is it! What is it!)

So what could it be?

Our guess is a movie or a new album.

However, it's far from a new anime since the Succession Contest Arc is still on hiatus. From what we know, anime companies won't start producing new episodes if an arc is not yet complete. Some quick mangakas could make an exception, but Togashi has built a bad reputation that deems it impossible.

But we'll be glad if it is the anime continuation.

And that this will follow the announcement of Hunter x Hunter manga continuation.

Well, that's too much wishful thinking. Let's see what's going to happen next.

Stay away from HxH fake news!
